Notice of Public Hearing on Tax Rate: 2026

The Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District No. 251 will hold a public hearing on a proposed tax rate for the tax year 2026 on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., at the offices of The Edible Group, 7632 Hammerly Boulevard, Houston, Texas 77055, or by videoconference via Microsoft Teams: https://districtmtg.com/4tt.  Your individual taxes may increase at a greater or lesser rate, or even decrease, depending on the tax rate that is adopted and on the change in the taxable value of all other property.  The change in the taxable value of your property in relation to the change in the taxable value of all other property determines the distribution of the tax burden among all property owners.

Notice of Public Hearing on Tax Rate: September 12, 2025

A public hearing will be held by Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District No. 251 on its proposed tax rate for the 2025 tax year. The District is proposing to maintain the current tax rate of $1.500 per $100 of valuation, which is identical to the previous year’s rate.

While the tax rate itself is not increasing, individual tax bills may still change based on the appraised value of your property relative to others in the district. The notice states there were no residential homesteads for comparison this year, which is a key point for residents to inquire about.
